Smart MEV Protection
What are MEV attacks?
MEV (Maximal Extractable Value) attacks happen when bots or validators spot your pending transaction and jump ahead of it to profit, often causing you to get a worse price or miss out entirely.
Common types include:
Front-running – a bot buys before you, driving the price up
Sandwiching – a bot buys before and sells after your trade to trap you in between
Turning on MEV Protect helps prevent this.
How can I protect myself from MEV attacks?
When you enable MEV Protect, Nova switches your transaction processor to Jito instead of using Ultra exclusively. This means:
You may wait slightly longer for a MEV-protected slot
But your transaction is sent safely, reducing the risk of front-running or sandwich attacks
It's a trade-off between speed and security — ideal for high-stakes trades.
